সতর্কতা ও যেসব ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহার করা যাবে না : ক্লোরামফেনিকলের প্রতি অতি সংবেদনশীল অথবা এর প্রতি বিষক্রিয়া দেখা দিয়ে থাকলে ব্যবহার করা উচিত নয়। দীর্ঘমেয়াদী চোখে ব্যবহারের ফলে বাড ডিসক্রেসিয়া (গ্র্যানিউলো-সাইটোপেনিয়া, প্রোথ্রাম্বোসাইটোপেনিয়া এবং রক্তশূন্যতা) হতে পারে।
পার্শ্ব প্রতিক্রিয়া : দীর্ঘমেয়াদী ব্যবহারে অস্থিমজ্জার বৃদ্ধি ব্যাহত হতে পারে। শিশুদের অপটিক এট্রফি, চোখে জ্বালা পোড়া করা, ডারমাটাইটিস, প্রদাহ এবং এনজিওইডিমা দেখা দিতে পারে।
